Oluwayemisi Onadipe is an artist whose visual vocabulary cuts across photography, painting, sculpture and installation. Born and lives in Lagos, where she experienced her childhood, she is fascinated by time, change and memory. She uses her works to capture and interrogate the passage of time, re-imaging of objects and spaces and how change shapes perception and memory. She studied fine and applied arts at the Federal College of Education, Lagos. She was one of three winners of the Future African Cities award, “Unsung Heroes,” 2024. She has participated in various exhibitions and workshops, including Urban Spaces and Public Life, Johannesburg, 2024; In, Relating to, or Characteristics of, Johannesburg, 2004; Cosmos of Space of Place, Blabla, Biennale, Bamako; Once Upon a Time, Lagos, 2022; Iconic Lagos, 2022.
